About Jennifer Chen

Jennifer Chen is a graphic designer who lives and works in Toronto. She was born in Canada with a Taiwanese background, which gives her the ability to understand different types of design trends within the Asian and North American culture. With a specialization in layout design, she presents her creativity, effective problem solving skills and communication through many different print collateral. She believes that graphic design is a communication tool that helps deliver messages to people. Knowing and understanding different cultures and languages provides an advantage towards Jennifer’s inspiration. Furthermore, she enjoys traveling and visiting new places around the world that can help enhance her creativity.

In charge with the designs for Pure Luxury Magazine as a lead designer; designs include magazine cover, editorial layout, event ads, invitations, media wall, etc. Also responsible for creating print ads, web banners, and booth designs for Caneast’s clients.

Intern Graphic Designer, 108 ideaspace Inc., ON – Jun 2013 to Aug 2013

Created an annual report for Youth Without Shelter Organization, a booklet for Council of Ministers of Education Canada, and an infographic poster for Ontario Ministry of Education. Also contributed in designing new logo for Canadian Chiropractic Association and new website for Tucker Professional Corporation; moreover, created infographic and PDF forms for 108 ideaspace Inc. marketing purposes.

In charge of poster designs, logo adjustments, product label and packaging designs, website improvements, and other design projects required from Lavan – a soap and skin care boutique in Vancouver.
